Upcoming August Induction Courses

The next CrossFit Harrogate inductions begin on 04 August.   

The evening induction class will start on Monday 04 August and run each Monday and Wednesday at 20:30 and on a Friday at 19:00.

Our next morning induction course begins on Tuesday 05 August and finishes on 21 August.  Classes will run from 0600 to 0700 every Tuesday and Thursday morning for the duration of the three weeks. 

During the course, you will learn the fundamentals of CrossFit and experience a CrossFit workout in each session. You will make new friends, learn a new way to train and have a lot of fun. Places are limited so sign up today on www.crossfitharrogate.com/schedule.  Hope to see you there!

2nd Annual Ladies Day at the Races - 21 August

Ladies, it is that time of year again!  Time to put on your best frock and hat and head down to Ladies Day at York Races.  Last year was absolutely brilliant and a fantastic time was had by all (even though we didn't bank much in the way of winnings)! The event will be held on Thursday, 21 August, and we are planning to book our tickets in the Grandstand and Paddock. The tickets are £30 per adult and everyone should purchase their own tickets. We are putting together a coach to transport us from the box to the racecourse and home again and that will run approximately £8-10 per person (depending on how many sign up). Catterick Throwdown Update

If everyone could get there for 10am on Saturday, they're looking to start the first of 3 workouts at 10:30.

When you arrive, your team will be paired with another team. They will be your judges for the 3 workouts and vice versa.

For every workout there will be a RX+ (Jonny, Dan and Rich), an RX and a scalable option. Within the team you can have athletes completing the RX option as well as the scalable option. Please ensure you are challenging yourself. If you can perform the movement safely but slowly then stick with the RX, don't scale just to get a quicker time.

Watch the CrossFit Games at the Box: 26 July!

On the evening of 26 July, we will open the doors to the Box and invite everyone around for a bit of food, fun and the Games!  We will be projecting Saturday’s CrossFit Games events on our very own Egyptian Cotton sheet (nothing is too good for you guys!), so bring chairs, food, drink and treats and join us in watching the elite of our community battle it out for the Title of Fittest on Earth!


 

Tabata Class

If you don't have a lot of time to fit exercise into your schedule, then please give our tabata classes a try! The sessions are 30 minutes and are guaranteed to get your heart rate up!  Classes are held on Monday and Thursday at 1215 and cost just £5 per session.  If you are interested, please go to our Schedules tab and register.  Hope to see you there!

Free Taster Session - 07 June

Interested in trying CrossFit but not sure what it's all about? Then come and give it a try! We will take you through a typically structured session, talk through what CrossFit is all about and answer any questions you may have.  All for free with no sales pitch at the end.

Race for Life - Harrogate - 15 June

Ladies of CrossFit Harrogate,

It has been awhile since we have had an event just for the ladies and so we thought it would be a great idea to put some teams together for the Race for Life in Harrogate on 15 June.  The event will take place at 11 am on the Stray.  

We will have two teams, one for the 5K run and one for the 10K distance.  If you would like to participate, please register here under team names CFH Ladies 5 or CFH Ladies 10 and then drop an email to Kate (kate@crossfitharrogate.com) if you are running the 5K and to Gio (gio@crossfitharrogate.com) if you are running the 10K.

To help you build your running we are also starting a beginners running group this Sunday at 9.30am, it will follow a run/walk programme and will help build towards being able to run a 5k continuously. See the schedule to book on this class.
